Belly Dancing
Belly dance is a great way to exercise, improve your fitness and have fun in a friendly, supportive environment. Belly dance can help improve muscle tone, cardio fitness and coordination, whilst also allowing you to explore an exciting and fun dance style.
The classes will cover technique for belly dance moves, combinations of moves to music, and build up to a short choreography by the end of the term. In this class, we will focus on modern Egyptian styles of dance.
Level:
The class is suited for all levels, from beginners to those with previous experience of belly dancing. Options will be provided to suit complete beginners, and to allow those with previous experience to challenge themselves and advance their technique.
What to wear:
Wear comfortable clothing which allows free movement. Bring a scarf you can tie around your hips (optional). The classes can be taken barefoot, or you can use dance shoes such as ballet shoes. You can also wear non-slippery socks (e.g., dance socks or yoga socks).
You may wish to bring some water with you to stay hydrated throughout.

Classes are run by Harris Education and Recreation Association HERA
